Peer Workforce

The Mental Health Community Coalition ACT together with the ACT Mental Health Consumer Network, invite you to this exciting Mental Health Month panel event on the Peer Workforce which will be opened by the Minister for Mental Health, Shane Rattenbury.

What is the Peer Workforce and what is it not? How is it different to using your lived experience as part of another role? What is best practice in employing peer workers? What needs to be done to foster the expansion of the Peer Workforce?

Come along and hear directly from Peer Workers as well as others with passion and expertise in this developing part of the mental health workforce. CEO of Being in NSW, and long time advocate for peer work, Irene Gallagher, will be delivering a keynote address on the Peer Workforce.

There will be plenty of time to ask questions of the panel - but you must submit your question ahead of time (this can be done as part of the registration process).

At the end of the event we will be asking for suggestions as to how to best support the development of the Peer Workforce in the ACT.

Lunch will be provided, and will be an hour long to allow for networking.

This is a free event but RSVP is essential to gain entry. Register here: MHCC - Peer Workforce
